That doesn't work - if you kept dragging the line to the left, so that it lined up with the white 18 yard line, you'd see why.

That red line is to the right of Dunk's foot, and to the right of van Hecke's foot. And if you want to go with van Hecke's right shoulder, or even calf, then you have to draw a vertical line down, as has been done with the yellow line. It's offside.
