We should speak to Chris Wood's agent, and look to offer him a nice pay rise with a promotion bonus, and highlight that when Murray's loan is up Chris is the kind of player we want in the PL. Then we should make a decent bid for him.
There's less than 4 months left, that would be a bit silly. As you say, he'll get the best deal in the summer (with someone) if he's been performing well and helped us go up.
If we sell Stephens and it costs us promotion, that will have been a very poor business decision. To call it gambling suggests taking a risk where the odds don't stack up. Not something our chairman is known for. I expect he'll make the right call.
Well why do you think? Obviously they are trying, so presumably it's because we're after players who are in demand, and they/their clubs like holding out for the best deal. If we could do it quicker, obviously we would.
Yeah I'm not thinking we should have gone for him, I think he's more like Murray/Hemed, but the price tag seems very low.
I'm surprised if he's on a big wage at Barnsley having come from League 1.
Yeah, they need to worry about creating chances, not scoring them.
Am I really the only one that's like a spoilt child at Christmas? Looking around everyone else seems very grown up compared to me. Probably always the case, but I don't look around much.
