Which posters can't accept that? I can. If that's where people want to live, cool (why does 'cool' look so uncool when written down?). And if you / others live / have lived in Queens park, say what's great about it (as some have done).
Agreed, but when NotNick said "that general Queen's Pk area is not upmarket" he didn't mean in regards to what the population could afford, he meant the quality/style of the area compared to other locations.
Yeah I can see that could be one definition, I just don't think it's what NotNick meant.
Yes that's true.
Which roads there would you consider as upmarket?
The bubble is called Brighton & Hove. It's bloody expensive, and while £650k is a lot of money, it doesn't get you a big upmarket home.
We all like different things of course, but is Hove park really upmarket? I lived there for a good while, but being right by Old Shoreham road, I wouldn't class it as upmarket.
They've put downlights in the reception room! Looks alright apart from that though.
Do you know how old the house it? The description says it's a Victorian house, but it looks Edwardian to me.
How is the one I linked to a bit meh? It looks like it was built by the same people, but with some nicer features (like the staircase and ceilings) and it's detached and not got a loft conversion.
I was only commenting on the one in the OP, which is a very nice house, but no more so than others...
They have the same height ceilings, same style of cornicing, skirting, ordinary banisters, less stained glass than many others. And the one mentioned in the OP has a loft conversion, it's not even original. What makes you think they're different to the other properties around Brighton and Hove...
I can see the pictures, they're no more beautiful than others of that style in Brighton & Hove, and as I said, it's only a semi.
I didn't say it's not a nice place to live.
Did he mean any location, rather than any property?
It is a bit expensive. It's not even got an en-suite:

The same house sold for £940k in 2008. Their neighbour sold in 2007 for the same price, then again this year for £1.25m...
