I don't think it was, I've got 85.81481481, otherwise we'd be in agreement.
:) Obviously if he was right with 85.817, he'd be right with 85.82. but I think he's made a mistake with his first number. I only think that because I've got a spreadsheet in front of me with the number, and it's...
85.81. Are we going to do this properly or what?
So Average for 2nd = 85.8, for 3rd = 81.3
Average of 2nd and 3rd (ie, what a team will generally need to finish 2nd) = 83.5
Unfortunately we're likely to need a bit more this year.
No it's not wrong, just something that got debated over at great, dare I say 'NSC debate' length.
Here's a summary:
I don't think there is a definitive answer. The problem is adding BHA into a season that already had 24 teams on their respective points. So if you add us (and make it 25 teams) a...
Interesting stuff. Each year 3 teams getting very close to 2 points per game. 2 points per game for our pack gives:
Burnley = 91
'boro = 88
Brighton = 87
Hull = 84
If 3 of the 4 of us are going to get about 2 points per game, then we're going to need to be one of them, and even then we might...
Wow! They've got a good run-in (my opinion, others may vary - well, one other), but they're 9 points behind Burnley and haven't won in the last 5 games. You can get 12-1 on Hull taking the title.
That other thread (which is preferable, a point ahead or a game in hand) has put me in a shitty mood. We all have our faults, and among my worst are being a smartarse and having a severe intolerance of stupidity. It's a horrible combination that makes me a bit of a **** at times.
There's a poll up, and apparently we only need 1 point per game:

Hull and boro have had poor runs, so just looking at the last 10 games means they'll continue playing the same, when the reality is that one of...
