I don't agree. Indeed, they weren't going as aid workers, but I imagine the authorities will have access to their emails etc of what they thought they were going to. If they strongly suspect that they were going to prepare act of terrorism, then as you say, they'd probably get charged, but the...
It doesn't matter if they're male or female, if they've committed no crime I think they should be welcomed back. If they've committed crimes, I think they should be welcomed back and charged with their crimes.
I believe they saved Kuwait, and were fully just in doing so.
I didn't hear that, so don't know what it was specifically about, but on the general subject of letting people return, I would say it depends. If the schoolgirls turned up at a British Embassy somewhere and said they'd made a mistake...
I agree that it would be good if papers did not have such corporate interests, but if they weren't free then who would be in charge of what they say? I sense what you wish for would be a lot worse.
You often come across as one. You regularly blame the west for the actions of the extremists, when...
Yeah, so it's not the most widely read paper then. Firstly, they're talking about websites, not papers. Secondly, the Mail site itself attracted less visitors the the NY Times. Thirdly, they're not comparing with those newspapers that are the most read, as they're not including actual papers...
I too hate the Mail, but to suggest it is more destructive than all the Islamic extremists put together shows just how blinkered you are.
Where did you get this information from? It's not even the most widely read in England.
You knew what I meant, right? I mean educated about the sort of life that they'd have if they went, and whether they'd ever be able to ever leave that life if they later changed their mind. If they're an adult, and know what lies in store, then I don't see the problem with them going.
Er, no. Although my point doesn't rely on those in ISIS not being child abusers (my point is that it's a regime that kills innocent people whenever they feel like it), I couldn't actually be sure that there are any ISIS leaders that aren't child abusers - given that child abuse includes violence...
Indeed.
I want yewtree sorted, I want punishment for those that cover things up, etc etc. There are many aspects to trust - I certainly don't trust our politicians to never take a gift etc, and no doubt some of them are complete scum, but overall, our system rewards the average politician better...
But some people believe he does, so unless we're going to ban religion (which would be mental) then we have to work with it.
Are you being serious? For a start, our country doesn't have a long standing history of being peaceful.
ISIS and the like aren't interested in negotiation, they want to kill everyone that doesn't believe.
So you think all our politicians are pervy?
It looks like you need educating too. Some people in high positions have abused children, that doesn't mean they all do, or that our democracy counts...
I think that's leaving it too late, we need to educate people better. There's been discussion in other threads on what Islamic imams can do to better educate their followers about Islam. I think Muslims and Christians worship the same god, so if they're right, and he does exist, I don't suppose...
