Actually, saving the captain first isn't a bad shout. He can then give full details of the accident to investigators, before he's re-united with his ship.- Triggaaar

Given the time it took to sink, and the access to it at that time, I am surprised (and saddened) by the low number of people they have rescued.- Triggaaar
