I went to Efes, a Turkish restaurant in Worthing, last week. Not bad at all. Be a bit careful what you order, portion size wasn't too big on mine, though others seemed to have more. I had the mixed shish, lamb and chicken and was very nice, but not a lot of it. Would probably go back thiugh.

I was sceptical due to my memory of the clientelle over the years putting je off, but was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go back.

Tried the Crown and Anchor in Shoreham at the w/e and thought it was very good. Not fine dining but pretty good at what it does. Service was terrific - one of our mains was 5 mins late coming out, we'd not noticed, but without us saying anything she gave us a free pint, that's very pro-active...

I hate that. If I'm eating in a restaurant (not cafeteria style), I want to be served, not walk all around the shop myself. Whenever I go somewhere like that, I don't go back - I'm paying for service.
