I don't remeber their being a time limit on this, so when GP goes to Wolves in 2027 I shall be expecting a payout to supplement the pension I might be getting at the time - at the current rate, this bet might double my pension income .
Surely, the only reasons for appointing someone on a short-term basis would be if they had a specific target who will be free in the summer, or just more chance of other people being available in the summer. I agree, GP would certainly not take an interim role.
Ooops - nearly forgot to claim...
I can't help thinking that they thought they had plans in place when they let MM go, and something went wrong.
Having said that, a club can't win, can it ? If they look for a manager to replace thier current one while he's still there, they get accused of being trecherous behind peoples back -...
Given that they would have to pay something for a manager currently in a job, does £2m sound too much ? If someone keeps them up, it's worth an awful lot more than that to them. I wonder how much they are willing to pay for someone.
How so ? He's always said he wants to manage in the prem as soon as poss. Never really shown any loyalty towards us. I don't think he will have lied if he leaves.
Any manager with confidence would back himself to get a team out of relegation trouble, and there are certainly worse teams in the prem than Wolves, so they stand every chance of getting out with a new manager.
