This is clearly the reason why he would have to go, if he ends up going. I suspect it will come down to whether he is indeed 'advising' people how to get round rules, or just stating his opinion of the situation when asked. It is pretty borderline, and certainly stupid.
Have to say, even as someone in 'the press', agree with a lot of this.
Unless (and it is a big unless) there is even more of a smoking gun to emerge from the Telegraph, there is nothing illegal here.
