Sounds like the insurance company trying to squirm it's way out of paying up then. Hopefully, when kitten is sorted, ENREST will challenge their decision, via an ombudsman if need be, with a view to being reimbursed for any vets bills incurred
Some sad details in that link. ENREST is sorely missed round these parts. Can't even remember what he got banned for now, but never struck me as a bad guy.
