Emily the Criminal is a good evening's watch. A young woman with a stonking great student loan that she has no way of paying off while trapped in the gig economy gets lured into credit card fraud. Probably not going to win many awards but it's very well acted and directed
Seems to be the case. Found this review on reddit
'I have watched almost the entire run, and already read all three books.
30 episodes, covering only the first book. Unlike a lot of book to show translations in US like Wheel of Time, Game of Thrones, etc, the show is literally every scene from...
The series reportedly cost $20million per episode to make. Wonder what they spent the money on? Certainly can't have been on script writers or actors!
There's a Chinese version from last year available on Amazon Prime that is supposed to be much closer to the books. Think I'll give that...
I find it very watchable, tho fairly corny. Reminds me of 'Ghosts' in places, and not in a good way. The swearing was what struck me also, it seems to be just chucked in for no good reason. Can only assume it's in the book and the makers have just slavishly pasted it into the script
No, he just looked it up my account using my name and email address, same as I did. There's literally nothing there. He tried to steer me down the path of providing my account details, tho I wasn't having that, and told him why. Ah well, bolleaux to Netflix
Yup, all good on that front. And even if it wasn't, they wouldn't send you emails saying your phone number no longer seemed to be associated with your account, they'd send you something along the lines of not being able to take your payment. Their chat guy confirms I no longer have any phone...
Anybody else had their Netflix account completely wiped overnight? Watched S1E1 of Fisk yesterday, all good. Went to watch S1E2 today and my account has completely vanished. No mobile number, no payment details, nothing. It's asking me to sign up like my account never existed. I double-checked...
I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but - blimey! - what tremendous fun! Killing Eve meets Kill Bill. And, oh, those trackies
2nd series now confirmed for 2024
This, everytime. Hearing the words spoken as they were originally intended to be heard always adds that extra dimension, irrespective of the language involved
Revisited Don't Look Up over the weekend. Even better second time around. All-star cast having great fun. Not seen it yet? If you liked Mars Attacks! - and who doesn't like Mars Attacks! - then you'll absolutely love this!
Just finished S1E1 of Bodies. Not quite doing it for me I'm afraid. Will prob stick with it to the end just to see how it plays out, but it just looks to be trying too hard. Not a single believable character that you care about what happens to them, plus it seems to have been pre-vetted by the...
