I share your sentiment, trust me I'll be on this as soon as it's sensible to. Nov - Dec is my exhibition and conference season, continually talking to people, shaking germ laden hands and generally sharing germ ridden conference centres, not a good time and always delivers bugs, colds etc. I try...

Well, that's crap, as at 31 Dec '18 I'm still suffering from a mixture of the flu like symptoms since early bloody November! That said this isn't the end, as soon as this is shifted I'm back on it, although will drop back to Week Four I think. Woefully bad excuse but I just haven't felt like...

It's tempting, but I'll keep trying the Hall's Soothers and Ibuprofen for a while longer thanks! :lolol::lolol::lolol:

Fell off the wagon at Week 7/3 doh! Last run was 28 Oct, think I'll re-do Week 6 and get back on it, have man flu last week or so, just wait another couple of days for all symptoms to subside and back on it from Saturday! What a p**** I am, after doing so well, but hey ho, back to it by Saturday!

I've done this with the runs I've missed, just like giving up smoking years ago, if I had a cheeky ciggie I wouldn't return to smoking just accept I feel of the wagon for that one ciggie. With the runs I've missed a day, or recently three days, but just accepted it and got back on with it.

It's difficult but today's walker could be tomorrow's jogger, we need to encourage all. I agree though it makes it less appealing for the much needed marshalling volunteers. I'm guessing you can walk the 3.1m in around an hour anyway, can't you? Maybe the answer will be a "walker" sets off and...

Wow, slightly feel off the wagon, but feel I've retrieved the situation. Ran W7R1 on 22 Oct and was due W7R2 on 24 Oct but it didn't happen! Ran that run yesterday (28 Oct) and have W7R3 on Tuesday. I'm in Exhibition & Conference season hell at the moment so it's hard to find the time or space...

Top effort, plenty of stretching and re-hydration; I've another 25 min tonight and again on Friday, leaving me free for a Harvey's ... or two, on Saturday!

I've only lost 5 lbs in the seven weeks BUT it's slow change to lifestyle, cut out processed meat and veggie two days a week, cutting down on alcohol and yes, feeling great! If, and it's a big if, I can keep this going through the Winter and hit the Spring a stone lighter I'll be a happy bunny!

Rather like approaching my recent minor injury set back, I just waited a couple of days. If you feel you need more of the early sessions just do it, you're still moving towards a 5k but without turning you off it altogether.

My head found it concerning but my legs preferred not dropping back to walking and then striding out again. For me the continuous run seems to be better for my fat legs and the head is getting around it too! Good luck, as "Coach Laura" would say "You can do it"!

Oops, bit of swelling on the bad ankle from last Thursday's run. Next run was programmed for Sat, didn't happen. Run the 25 min Monday night no problem at all and all good this morning, so, I guess, justifies my laziness and resting! All back on track!

Thanks for the boost, I feel if I can start around 34-36 mins I should be able to chip away over the Winter and hit it big in the Spring!
