Many people nowadays don't see the need for a supporters club as there are lots of other groups around which, are mainly geographical because Brighton fans are widespread across Sussex.

Yes, and not necessarily fans forums but groups as well, like NWSussex Seagulls, and Seagulls over London. It's often just Paul Barber and 20 people so there's plenty of chance to have a discussion rather than a 'lecture'.
