I deliberately didn't open that thread because I knew it would upset me. There's no point in complaining because this is a male dominated board, but I didn't like it being discussed.
But a great demonstration of making a man feel as uncomfortable as women sometimes feel. The HR director was being questioned as to why they held up a complaint, so demonstrating the point was instructive to the other males.
As my Dad used to say, there's a time and a place. Strangers in the street, public transport and in the workplace is not the place.
Praise women on their appearance in a bar, at a party, a nightclub, casino, etc.

I've been in the Navy, and heard every comment that can possibly come from men. I used to be really feisty, and tell some where to get off, others I ignored, because if you gave them the satisfaction of a retort, they did it all...
Westdene had it right. There was no reason, whatsoever, to refer to the colleagues curves or her figure. The dress was great, pretty, stylish etc. There is a line and the male colleague crossed it making the woman feel uncomfortable.
