[Albion] Club will be writing to those who purchased a ticket for Bournemouth [but didn't go]

The club have checked other purchases and games as well as the Bournemouth game. There are a handful who have done this more than once. The letter is a warning to all that this will be dealt with in future.

The accident happened before 12. The Supporters club coach and Blues away knew about it before setting off at 1pm, so both diverted to the A24 at Bolney, via Cowfold, and got to the M25 that way. I also saw a friend mentioning it on Facebook, who was on a Seagulls Travel coach, and told him...

Common sense applies both ways. Those who harvested points, were depriving their fellow fans.

Previous long term loyalties? Those who held a season ticket at Withdean for more than ten years were rewarded when we moved into the Amex. This loyalty scheme is dated just six years and quite rightly. We've been in the Championship for that length of time. A real busy body? :lolol: I am...

The club messed up because they trusted fans? Ok, it takes blame shifting to another level, on your part.

Tosh. My Dad died in 1998, but never needed a season ticket, because he paid on the gate. When I was a kid, only rich people had season tickets. It's only because the club has an interest free direct debit system now, that many fans can afford to have one.

The points for cup games have been exactly the same for six years, and were just incorporated into the new scheme, where the only difference was allocation of points to season ticket holders. Because we are now in the 'glamour' league, fans have tried to take advantage, so it isn't the club's...

The cup tickets sold out within 12 hours. There were some camps returned that went on sale later (30). Home league games are not affected because you only get 20 points for the whole season, just 1 point per game.

This. Most people have a driving licence on them or a bank card with their name on. It's no hardship to carry something in a wallet or purse.

The club know exactly who didn't go to either, so could adapt the letter accordingly.

That's what we have. Some games are worth 5, some 10 and some 15. Btw it's not Paul Barber's scheme, but was devised by Tony Bloom, himself. sussex_guy2k2

The club did mention Barnet, just not in this release. It was in the previous missive, and mentioned on the Albion Roar.

If you say so. My opinion is that the club is right on this situation. If tha makes me arrogant, then so be it.

It wasn't one incident. As previously mentioned, people were boasting about the Hudds away game last season, and the club has said its checked the Barnet & Bournemouth cup games. You are entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it is.

The old scheme gave 1000 points to season ticket holders rather than 20 points for each Amex year. No scheme is going to be perfect whilst demand outstrips supply.

If the cinema only had 100 seats, with 200 people wanting to go in, then yes, I would be having exactly the same argument. There are not enough tickets to go round for any away game at the moment.
