    Talking of clickbait, the 'quizzes' are 'like farming'. It says something like 'Nobody gets more than 8 out of 10 in this Quiz', which turns out to be very easy, but in the meantime, the originators have your email address, for spam.

    There are a few genuine competitions, but as Edna has rightly pointed out, you can spot the scams by their poor grammar or spelling mistakes. It's also fairy easy to check, which are genuine by Googling them first.

    I do the same, using Hoax Slayer and Snopes. It is possible to unfollow someone, but still remain friends. That way you don't see their inane posts but are still friends with them. They don't know that you've unfollowed them, but you are spared their silly posts. It works for me.
