Leonardo Ulloa was an £8 million bargain for Leicester, says Nigel Pearson...

He was bought as a Premier League player from a Championship club, not Championship to Championship.

8 million for a decent Championship striker is par for the course, when you look at Rhodes. We were lucky finding Leo in Spain for just €2 million. Leicester won't sell him, but hope they do the same as QPR & get back up.

Fair comment. I'll drop Knight as he didn't do that much at Championship/Second division level, and definitely include Worthington & Robbo.

The phrasing of 'haven't bothered' is quite emotive. It's quite possible that the scouts haven't found anyone as good as Ulloa, or the timing is wrong, or that the striker concerned wasn't interested in us. As most transfers negotiations are private, we don't know who or what the targets are.

I would dispute that we dealt with Leicester over Upson. He was out of contract, refused to sign one that we'd offered, and chose to go elsewhere.

We're losing £1 million a month according to Paul Barber yesterday.
