I remember when Tommy went, Gus said he was very upset about it because he knew youngsters wanted to play regularly, whereas he knew they hadn't got the experience to get us promoted (ignoring the fact that internationals failed too) which was his mandate from the board. He understood players &...

And we knew that 2 years ago, with another manager in between? Yes, you're right. It must be all Gus's fault!

No, we don't. He went to a League 1 club which has been developed into a Championship side. Don't tell me that others clubs don't release youngsters who then go on to find their level the same as the club they left!

That's what he wanted & why he left, for regular first team football.

When players want to go or won't sign a new contract, it makes it difficult. Some work out, some don't. If only the club had a crystal ball, eh?

Please note I said regular first team football not off the bench now & again or a cup game. There's a big difference.

Good post. These things happen but some always want someone to blame.

No, he wasn't. El-Abd was ahead of him, as was Calde playing at CB when Greer was injured or suspended.

And regular first team football, which is exactly the same reason why his CB partner, Elphick, went.

My daughter wouldn't have been so foolish as to go to a hotel room with 4 blokes in the first place. Women can be foolish too.

How do you know what they did? Were you in court to hear all the evidence? 12 complete strangers cleared every defendant of the charges.

If being foolish when you're young makes you a scumbag then we're all 'guilty'.

    Steve Cook

No he wasn't. He scored the third goal at Cardiff on August 17th when we won 3-1 away.

So you want Dunk out too?

Cook went on loan to Bournemouth but Elphick didn't. El-Abd and Dunk were ahead of them for those positions. I doubt that we will do anything about Ward until the manager arrives. Maybe Burke has had a word with him to say he will be in touch, but that's guesswork. Youth players coming here...

    No. See post 11.

If a player wants to leave instead of sitting on the bench, keeping him would build up resentment. He was 4th choice CB, so it was only fair to sell him.
