I said recorded crime is reducing. That is every charge, including murder, burglary, harassment, shoplifting etc. Some crimes are reducing, some are on the increase but overall recorded crime is falling.
Why would it? The more criminal charges, the more Twitter is forced to act. Only this morning Twitter have announced they are taking on more staff to deal with reported tweets.
Lord Sugar has retweeted an abusive tweet today which was aimed at him standing up for Colleymore. It was racist abuse about Jews. It does highlight the abuse, force the police to notice it (he included their twitter in it) and when it's deleted by the offender, is still on record.
