Do you not think a £1 few is just a ploy to make more money for a company that already makes more than enough money? I can't stand these fees. What exactly is it for?

I had that the other week with 2 letters, both were stamped but apparently 'underpaid' for some reason, mine were 11 pence & 24p, ridiculous really. I know the £1 fee is not exactly a lot of money but I bet it makes them a hell of a lot of money.
