Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

I think it's supposed to be up its arse. It's a Theatre Bar, dahhhhling. Both Colonnade and the Cricketers are owned by Golden Lion.

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

For all the West Street dives alluded to, can we have some names? Not going include 'every Wetherspoons' or 'every pub in West Street'.

The Dorset markets itself as a Café Bar.

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

I'll allow the Open House. What I'm saying is I think people are judging it from three years ago.

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

One of these things that stays with you... Back in July 2011 - the day of the Spurs friendly and the opening of the Amex - Ady, myself and about eight others took over the Reverb studios to do the Breakfast Show - 8-10am. It meant walking past the Bat & Ball (and others) at about 7.15am on a...

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

Very surprising there's so many shouts for the Open House. The beer IS decent, the staff ARE polite, food is pretty good, and no more expensive than anywhere else. It has dramatically upped its game in the past couple of years. I'm just wondering if this is the consideration of 'Open House...

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

    * CONTROVERSY ALERT * Oh I don't know. The prices are no worse than its neighbours, and the bar staff are pretty decent and courteous. The Open House of three years ago - I'd agree. However, if it's rude bar staff you're after - nowhere tops The Great Eastern. Surly, non-engaging, miserable...

    Yeah, but you're easily distracted.

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

The only reason I put it in was because the BEST PUB World Cup was Brighton only. I think. Or maybe it wasn't.

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

I did say "... not '& Hove'", though I suspect that rule might need flattening.
  18. The Large One

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

Plenty of room for prejudice and supposition at the nomination stage. :)

Brighton's WORST PUB World Cup - nominations

I'd look forward to presenting this place the trophy... Taking in the recent threads of Brighton's BEST pub, and how awful two particular pubs in Ditchling Road are, let's have your nominations for Brighton's Worst Pub. Each one needs proposing and seconding, must be in Brighton (not '&...
