We have no reason to believe Harveys will not be available next season, some pending negotiations are in motion atm., they said in response to Bozza's query.
Some people (myself included) like Harvey's. Some people (myself included) can't stand John Smith's.

I don't recall ever being considered a s**t fan for wanting a decent beer. Nor is there anything snobby about liking a decent beer, and disliking awful ones.
As for going to the pub, the options these days are limited. You have to leave by 2pm - that's no fun.
