Yes I like Hectors. It’s a tad small and can feel rather like you’re sharing the table with a stranger at busy times.
Which of course is fine if they’re clean and possess acceptable table manners
Unfortunately, I seem to invariably find myself next to rather large seated ladies with...
I could never get along with Tom Foolery.
Always looked half finished. Especially down the back end. Looked like a squat.
Food was okay but way over priced.
Feel sorry for the owners and staff but it does go to show, having an ironic moustache and wearing vintage aprons does not guarantee...
Just been in Drift. My favourite Shoreham cafe. I recommend the Pastrami bagel. Delicious, as always.
Friendly staff and the only man with a perm South of Kirby.
Hahah! I think the American lady in there killed it off. And taking hot food off the menu probably didn’t help much either. Bizarre choice. They had a loyal customer base.
I find it helps!
Hectors is very nice but as you say, cramped.
Neve been a huge fan of Tom’s but it’s okay in a pinch.
I’m rather enjoying Drift at the moment. Friendly staff, nice upstairs area, good food, good selection of drinks.
Nice breakfasts. The breakfast burrito is good.
My choice...
Ah! Interesting. And rather sad. Such a lovely spot. Run well, that could be a goldmine.
I don’t actually think it’s ever been run to it’s full potential but that last iteration was so clearly a last stop on the way to insolvency :-(
I’ve heard of him and Ed Hardy.
I got my first few tattoos done by Tony Skinner in Reigate. A superb traditional artist. He did my punkier stuff and spoke about Lal. I think they are similar in style.
No idea what his bacon is like though 😂
I know Muswell Hill a little.
The majority of my work was done by Ruth in Dorking and Chris at Temple Tattoo on Boyce’s St, Brighton.
Not heard anything about that one on the parade of shops in Brighton Rd but it does not look great. Not always the best way to judge a studio but no, something...
Shoreham will always have charm. And a place in my heart.
I’m probably priced out of it now but if they put a halt to the building I’d consider a move back in a few years. I’m definitely gonna wait and see how all this development goes first and how much its population increases.
It seems...
Haha! don’t worry, it’s not a regular haunt of mine 🤣
I used to go in there once a week until I had a bit of a chat with myself and now don’t go in there. It was my solo hangover place. One could blend in, even with the most toxic of hangovers.
I barley drink anymore, coincidentally I don’t...
Ha! I’ve had a nice roast at the Crabtree but that was about 5 years ago.
The Buck used to do food. It had a nice kitchen. But in a move I can only admire, Keith the owner got rid to “make room for more drinkers”.
That’s bold in these times.
I have to say, I held back because I was very hungry and I find it hard to judge my anger levels when I’m “hangry”, so I just keep my mouth shut incase I go too far and regret ruining my own day through being overly angry about something that really doesn’t matter in the big scheme.
But yeah...
