[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

I loved Ripley’s face when he’s being shown Freddie’s paintings 🤣 And whenever anyone mocked the dressing gown . Sublime acting. I watched the whole thing again a few days ago. Genuinely excellent work. A masterpiece.

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

I watched Ripley’s Game. The one with John Malkovich I believe. Dire. Really bad. JM pops up in the new series. A knowing and cheeky nod to this film, I suspect.

He is super. I see him live when I can and got a few of his albums. On CD. He makes occasional music with the author of the excellent book, The Old Ways. Nephew of Jerome Flynn , I believe.

They’ve tried all sorts of careers. Music. Modelling etc. Nothing seems to have stuck that well. Never heard their music but if the acting is anything to go by, I shan’t bother. It’s a big ashtray across the head from me.

That’s Eliot Sumner. The surname ring a bell? It’s Sting’s kid. Only bad thing in Ripley. Part nepotism, part equal opportunities casting, I suspect.

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Watched first episode of Ripley. Was very impressed. I have been anticipating this for a while and was not disappointed. The cinematography is superb. Magnificent even. So far.. so brilliant.
  7. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Watched Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombers (approximate title) 3 part documentary last night. Very good indeed. Cops do like to fire their guns!
  8. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Disney is £1.99 a month for 3 months at the moment. Plenty of time to catch up on all the good stuff on there.
  9. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

It really wasn’t funny was it.
  10. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

It’s far superior to the first series. The guy who plays Reacher seems to have developed some charisma and rudimentary acting skills. He still walks like he’s got a paralysed neck but he’s really improved. Took me two goes to get through the first series, giving up once because of his...

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Thought it was a shite ending. In lighter fayre, It’s Always Sunny is back for a new season. After Curb, it’s probably my favourite U.S comedy.
  12. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

    Good innit!
  13. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

I feel for anyone that can’t afford the extra £3 One of the main reasons I watch on demand is so I don’t have to endure ads. When I watch something with adverts now, which is very rare, they irritate me to the point of anger.
  14. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Similar to Rogue agent but a bit redder.
  15. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Saw this. Found it hard to watch because of all the douche-bag, yank frat boy teenagers. Listening to Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit. They grate on me so much. My least favourite type of human. But I recall when this happened. Big deal at the time. Nasty.
  16. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Gave up a couple of episodes into the first half of this last series. Used to love it. Now it’s boring.
  17. The Clamp

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Lillyhammer. I resisted watching this for ages due to not liking The Sopranos, which I thought was repetitive and rather dull. And I thought this would be more of the same. I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s seems to be a mainly Norwegian production and has a charm all of its own. I don’t...

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Watched the Savile doc recently. I don’t really see what it added. Just a load of repeated clips with a few people saying they knew/didn’t know he was a wrong ‘un. Nothing we didn’t know back in 2013. I’m guessing they’re cashing in on the upcoming Steve Coogan series.
