Sorry - last thing I have to contribute on this. It is very easy to say 'don't bother with the statue or ESB' but if it's your first trip there of course you're going to go! And yes there may be better alternatives but they are still great (even if the statue is small). Have a great time

Personally didn't get the High Line hype. We were also short of time and took bikes round Central Park. Loved it.

Another recommendation for the Edge here. To be honest you'll be fine doing most of that. If strapped for time take the Staten Island ferry early in the day past the statue, come straight back to see the city skyline views, then over to Ground Zero. If you're really strapped for time don't do...
