    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

They've scored quite a bit of goals in recent weeks but they're not winning with four or five goals against Brighton and absolutely not in between two games against Real Madrid.

No, no. Not childish at all. Very mature and clever stuff. A fine example of how British wit still manages to entertain dozens of people all over the world.

5-0 in the FA Cup and through to the semi-final. What to do? Go home and bump the Graham Potter thread. Feels like my position as the most Potter-obsessed man on earth is under attack.

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Some people - not a lot to be fair - in the press actually know quite a bit of football and had the ability to look beyond the results. Of course today people are saying "why didn't Graham Potters team in the first season do as well as Roberto De Zerbis team in the first season?", which is...

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Never been into the "he was once at the club but is no longer, so now we have to hate him" stuff. Tinpot is what it is.

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Its a reference to what Havertz said after winning the league. Not tremendously witty but as expected some of you who have been weeping and raging from day one would like to continue doing that and will look very hard for reasons to do so.

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Deliberately and forcefully interpreted as "cheap shots", you mean.
  8. Swansman

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Never was under that amount of pressure in Brighton as the team did not have that sort of streak with a very expensive squad. Pressure gets to everyone when there's enough of it. Potter is no exception.
  9. Swansman

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Not a lot, no. Similar to the take on how Brighton used to play under Potter etc., people here are seeing it in a different way than before. Emotional reactions.

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Reaction from you guys would have been a bit different if that was another bloke. You would have loved if RDZ said the same thing.

Veltman and Lallana both came from Champions League sides. Maybe some of them want to stay and the area... and not play for Palace. Think the squad will get one or two established additions in the summer.
  12. Swansman

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Rumours that they want Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Christian Pulisic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ruben Loftus-Cheek gone in the summer. Would you take any of them?

That would certainly settle the "Swanny in or out" thing... Imagine having to watch Jesse Marsch and his football week in week out.
  14. Swansman

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

Pretty unlikely with the team being 4th in the league, winning 9 out of the last 15 games.

That was definitely a lot better than it has been for months. Impressive performance.

Borussia will get this I think.

Guessing tonight is the night that will determine how long this misery will go on. Win and he's probably safe for another month at least. Go out and its probably over.

Send established first team players to the "reserves" (yoof) = get the PFA up your arse, and you're done.

    [Football] Potter [NOT] at Chelsea

If TB asks RDZ in the job interview what he'll be doing in ten years and RDZ answers "chasing a top 6 position with Brighton while being one of the lowest paid managers in the league", he doesn't get the job. Tony Bloom wants a manager who wants to be the best in the world, and the best in the...
