Probably pretty much as safe as it gets

If they lose against Forest... 1 point from the first 8 games would be "an awful lot".

No chance he is leaving while Sporting are in the top of their CL group. There will be better opportunities for him eventually.

Yup, to be replaced by another dull Portuguese, I suspect. Rodgers is gone if Leicester lose tomorrow and Cooper is most likely out if they don't win on Monday. Quite likely there will be three managers out before the next weekend.

Rodgers is dead as death now obviously. I think it is very unusual that sacking the manager solves anything but in this case the manager doesn't believe in his squad and the squad doesn't believe in him, and its just not going to work.

Still think Cooper will be the first out. People are forgetting that they're essentially Watford in a disguise.

My guess is that once GS leaves its not going to be any of those mentioned. Sean Dyche maybe. Or Steve Cooper - yes, he is Welsh, but he won the U17 World Cup with England so I'm guessing your FA is following him. Another option could be some old "name"... Stuart Pearce, Steve Bruce. Or if the...

Well if they get sacked they might actually be easier to hire... could be wrong but not sure any of them would like to leave club football to do this part-time job. Other than that I'm all for it. Frank Lampard's England.

Maybe. We don't know anything about that. If they have a look at City, which they might, they will understand better than to get involved in football decisions.

Yup. Unfortunately Dan Ashworth has a football brain.

What is your reasoning for believing Cooper will keep his job? 6 managers in Nottingham in just 5 years, 11 managers in Olympiakos in just 12 - despite the current bloke having it for four years (apparently winning the league helps you stay in the job). Lamouchi got sacked five games into a new...

Yeah well, Marinakis sack managers very easily and if they get a rough start, which is not unlikely, Cooper will be out before November. They aren't the new Leeds, they're the new Watford.
