I think the Hawks just played their get out of jail free card!

I see Duncan Keith has got himself banned for a hit on Jeff Carter. I heard him saying after it was an accident but after seeing the hit, there was no way it was accidental and it looked like a carry on from the incident between the 2 around the net.

It's either the Sharks or Red Wings for the Blackhawks next. I'm hoping the Ducks will beat the Red Wings so we'll face the Sharks in the next round.

Finished bottom of the Atlantic division on 48 points, 7 points adrift of the last playoff spot. So not a good season by their standards.

I heard about it on PTI and just watched it on NHL.com. I don't think Quick was expecting Steen to come down below the goal line like he did. Not sure if the defender shouted a warning or not to Quick either, but when in doubt...clear it!

As a Blackhawks fan it's been a very good year and certainly the hawks have exceeded all expectations. As for the playoffs in the west, the ducks are very dangerous and have been very consistent. I certainly won't discount the kings either because of the way they flew under the radar last year...
