I think not so much, when we had the presentation in the portakabin, it was very much sold as 'Club' seating, for fans who were prepared to pay a bit more, in return for a more salubrious setting and some additional comforts and benefits.
As others have said on this thread, I too always see quite a few 1901ers at away games, I'd probably not want to take a guess as I would only spot those who use the overline lounge. We certainly go to far fewer away games than we used to, probably a combination of cost and the fact that home...
They've installed a glass barrier now down the stairs between the directors area and the 1901 seats, not quite sure why, not aware of any instances of fans trying to muscle into the directors area. Maybe it makes them feel a bit more special.
Expectations then.
Great seat, with a group of friends, a bit of luxury in the lounges (carpets, glasses, some,where to sit), parking space, a bit of hob nobbing, occasional meal, a few beers, man of the match presentations, 'celeb' hosts, a chance to meet players old and new, priority for away...
