Just one little flaw in the main story on TLJ.
The resistance were going to eventually burn all their fuel being chased.
I'm not a scientist by any means, but once they're at max speed, just turn the ignition off and they'll coast along nicely for as long as they want... Right?
If he can summon objects without effort, surely he'd be able to open up a couple of space barn-doors.
I'm not asking why he didn't tackle the order solo, just make a little escape out of one room.
I watched it for the second time last night.
Enjoyed it much more.
Still not too happy with a couple of things that should have been done much better.
But I generally enjoyed it.
Favourite part was the slow walk into battle for Luke, with the intense music. Loved it.
One question. The...
I just don't have a clue why they didn't get Lawrence Kasdan (and J.J) to write the whole trilogy.
He wrote; Empire, RotJ and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Fantastic films.
Yet they paid the guy who wrote Brick and Looper to give it a crack. Not awful films, but nothing on Kasdan.
I think much of the audience in general are undecided/puzzled on their opinion of it (myself included).
Rotten Tomatoes
Rogue One: Critics 85% / Audience 87%
TFA: Critics 93% / Audience 88%
TLJ: Critics 93% / Audience 56%
Still early yet though, it'll be interesting to look at the ratings...
Other gripes.
Rey's lineage. Just junkers, no backstory.
Snoke dies. So there's no super-villain. Just a torn jedi (similar to Anakin in Ep 2/3)
No development with Rey. She did a quick lesson and that be that.
Biggest gripe is Luke over the past 25 years.
Just been banging his alien...
Very average.
Disappointed with Luke's ending. I wanted him to go out swinging and remembered as a martyr.
Leia's ending should have been out in space, not the weird Superman scene we saw.
Pretty horrible use of forced comedy too with the little furby/gremlin things.
Intrigued by the kid...
