It look as though Green was negotiating walking away from his contract last Summer, but the owners refused so he was stuck in limbo, unfortunately.

I did think that, however I imagine there's not much use in playing Green if the club want rid of him in the summer anyway. With nothing to play for, they may as well give their longer term keepers as much game time as possible. Maybe if they were contenders for the play-offs, it could have...
