Agreed.
The prequels CGI is naff.
They briefly touch on this on the must-watch 'Secrets of The Force Awakens' bonus footage from the Blu-Ray.
It's essentially a 1+ hour long 'behind the scenes' and 'making of' documentary.
My money's on:
Episode 8: Rey & Dad (Luke Skywalker) go save Mum Skywalker who was kidnapped by The First Order.
The First Order have put her into slavery, along with a few of the Jedi younglings that Luke was training a few years ago.
Yoda shows up somewhere to guide Luke & Rey to Mother...
Yup.
Closest one to us, I think.
Ah I didn't realize, the glasses might irritate them over 2.5 hours. Though the glasses are extremely light and didn't cause any discomfort with me.
Definitely got to be Luke's daughter.
They'll want to incorporate a lot of time in the next film dedicated to a father-daughter story line which wouldn't be possible if Han was the Dad.
Can we get Jeremy in for those all important DNA results?
Well, as stated previously, Tuesdays nights 4DX viewing would have been my 2nd Star Wars cinema viewing.
The best way to put this 'review' together would be to do a 'Good Bits/Bad Bits' list with a brief conclusion, so here goes.
Good Bits:
New screen, new seats (comfy) with plenty of space...
Haha.
Yeah I've just had a look for 2D IMAX but it looks like you're right.
I'm still debating whether to go to Crawley for IMAX or 4DX. I think screen-size might be the decider.
Great post.
Yep I'll post a quick review in here next Weds, although reading this thread makes me want to go sooner, so we'll see.
Would you not consider 3D IMAX?
I've avoided The Odeon for years, hate that place!
I'm going to go for it, probably next Tuesday at 8:20pm.
Same price as IMAX I think. £16.00.
'Meercat Movies' brings it down to £22.00 (for 2x tickets) although with 4DX, you must bring or buy glasses (£1.00 each).
With IMAX, they are complimentary.
I got Meercat Movies (2 for the price of...
See this is what I'm thinking.
It looks like great fun to me, especially after having seen the film already, it just adds an extra element of enjoyment I guess.
However, if it's tacky and irritating, I'd rather see it in IMAX.
If there's any film to first try 4DX though, I imagine TFA is the one.
I think that's what the majority think and what the viewer is led to believe.
Can see there being some sort of twist in the next one regarding Rey's lineage.
Yes to all of the above, however they only briefly talk about how Vader's character was well established before the others.
Trust me, if you're a Star Wars fan, you'll love it.
Absolutely loved it.
Don't care about speculating about who rogered who etc.
Just can't wait for the next one.
Very happy that we only have to wait less than a year for Rogue One.
