Earlier I reminded Jnr, again, if he tries to be cute with the ticketing system in order to get a mate in, he will get caught, he will get a 10 match ban & he will struggle to get to away games, I'd imagine that's exactly what the club want.
No guarantee he accepted a word of what I said...
Yeah I always get a 'heads up' email before the away games we're attending.
Were I to get one for an away game I hadn't bought a ticket, I'd take 10 seconds to write 'what's this all about then?' to Supporter Services (who have always been excellent)
Jnr would also get a swift and sudden...
That would require:-
Me passing on my log in details.
Me ignoring the confirmation email.
& rather crucially
Me telling the panel "I want the punishment".
The way this season has panned out I'd be throwing Jnr under the bus even if I were guilty - so that all seems rather unlikely...
Alternatively the person who's had their name hand written on the ticket is the only person who uses it to go to the match.
Quite why anyone doubts the club's commitment to their stance while also knowing someone is paid to write 3000 names on 3000 tickets, seems somewhat odd.
That kind of thinking is where I think (hope) we end up.
But in the meantime I don't have a problem with the club flexing some muscle, proving it's point, so we can get to a better place quicker.
The club definitely aren't as wrong as so many are making out.
It's quite bizarre to have posters write:-
'my relation broke the rules.
Here's how they did it.
This is the previously well documented penalty.
I can't believe this is the penalty we received'.
To then have their self pity...
But the tickets were sold to patrons the club has a relationship with.
You can't expect the seller of 36,000 tickets to then be responsible for refunds and transfers with less than 24 hours notice.
Sure the club are using a hammer to crack a nut, but fans were gaming the system, less so now...
