2 aspects of this pointless debate posters don't seem to be taking into consideration:-
1 - CH's flat refusal to change his team.

ii - The Albion's front line consists of an old man, a failure & statistically a probable failure.
It's almost as if who's done what when has no bearing here and...
You're probably right, CH won't want another massive financial dud striker, on his CV, so it'll be best for him to throw Connolly to the wolves (foxes, magpies...)
Connolly would have to have played in the Championship (not winning) team and be the same age as his own father for that to happen.
Both seem unlikely.
He'll be screwed if CH takes the Eire job on a part-time basis.
Although Dale O'Stephens and Glenn McMurray would be in line for a call up.
