and that doesn't even mention mental health.
That's why I assume every car/lorry/bus is out to kill me, and ride accordingly.
The net result is I think I'm 99.9% safe on Sussex's roads, and 99.9% of drivers are excellent, because I do everything I can to not put myself in danger.
No prizes for guessing who's gonna get killed to death...
No difference, no difference at all between someone willfully putting themselves in a position to be killed verses someone willfully putting themselves in a position to kill other people.
Absolutely no difference, no difference whatsoever?
Of course you are correct on one point, they'll all...
So now that your 3 minute hiatus is over, are you able to comment on the difference between:-
A cyclist putting himself in a position to be killed
&
Car drivers putting themselves in a position to kill other people
Clearly you are.
A cyclist going through a red light will get themselves hurt, possibly fatally.
A car driver going through a red light will hurt, possibly/probably kill, other people.
Who do you stop first, the attempted murderer or the attempted suicide?
I assume no car driver will...
It's all posturing, I bet most of this lot have meekly waved at us, while being secretly jealous of our health, freedom and vitality.
Given half the chance they'd be chasing you around the playground pulling your ponytail
Even B.W. is clearly a huge fan of Bradley Wiggins.
I apologise for poking the bear.
I find it funny because 99.9% of my interactions with the car drivers of Sussex (Surrey and Hampshire) have been fantastic.
I think I'm very fortunate to be sharing the roads of Sussex with it's drivers.
I see my signature is still more a statement of fact and not a handy note.
Perhaps you should concentrate on the vehicles that cause death and not those that in your eyes cause a nuisance.
Cyclists going through red lights can cause accidents.
Drivers going through red lights causes fatalities.
Of course a 5 year old can carry a gun, just so long as they are not driving as well
Dear god can we add humourless to this never ending list of car drivers tropes.
Anyhoo after a lovely ride yesterday, I'm off for a lovely drive today (not lovely at all, it'll be horrible).
See you later succcckkkkeeeeers
Oh most definitely, I just didn't think this was a serious thread.
Other than the amount of deaths caused by cars every year verses the odd cyclist riding through a pedestrian light that still red after everyone has crossed on their side.
Because we don't have too, they only apply to licensed vehicles.
Alternatively your tiny minority of drivers that are 'colour blind' cause hundreds of needless DEATHS on the road EVERY YEAR. That's thousands upon thousands of husband, wives, parents, children that won't ever see a loved one...
