He's another article we've jointly written, with the added bonus of a couple of fun videos on calories and questions:-

I guess because Demare won a stage, they certainly didn't do much else.
At the end they had 20+ staff working for 3 riders, 2 of which insisted on still sharing a room, for the last x days.
I think that's a decent summary 1066.
I'd add Yates to Dan Martin.
Boohoo coming 8th on stage 2.
Nobody seems to mention Mathews piling serious pressure on Kittel prior to his crash.
Sure it may well have been 'just one of those things', but Bling did have him on the ropes.
The jury was...

Between us we pretty much wrote this.
Cycling the sport of the people.
From the very best pro to the fat bloke at the side of the road.
Men, women, children, all creeds, colour, religion.
Whether you be lycra clad warrior, commuter or pootler.
A city banker or a poor farmers boy from Brittany, welcome to cycling, unless...
Crap isn't it.
You'd think the team was made up of 9 of the very best cyclists in the world, but that couldn't be further from the truth:-
- When Rowe and Knees were pressured they caved.
- G had a customary whoopsie.
- Henao never once got his nose in the wind, irrespective where they put him...
Which is where Froome would have easily won.
He'd have sat on Bardet's wheel for 3 weeks, then won today, about a week after 1066's head exploded.
Although if the switcheroo had happened early enough we'd have just finished watching the first GT with 0 kms of time trialling.
Forget Quintana, and let's be honest is anyone surprised about Porte? but other than that you're spot on.
So next season's tour could have:-
Bardet + team
Chaves + team
Uran + a bag of spanners
Dumoulin + team or meltdown
Landa + ?
Martin + a leadout train
Sky didn't exactly have it...
Oh definitely, but they aren't too far off.
The same might to said of Sunweb, but that's such a bag of Revels they could end up all peanut or all coffee (see what I did there!! )
Also that's where the parcours changing ought to help, nobody inc Froome is surprised he didn't win a stage, with...
That's not entirely fair, AG2R took it to Froome and Sky a couple of times, showing how it can be done.
Teams that think they have a chance, have to be smarter, and the way courses are being designed more teams are going to think they have a chance.
Don't let 1066 hear you say that.
