This is getting sillier by the minute, who the hell (other than you) is even alluding to that.
Of course Caddis is going to say what the Brum fans want to here.
He wouldn't have 'mishit' it had Stockdale gone the wrong way.
He wouldn't have 'mishit' it had Stockdale not been strong enough.
But...
But that's not quite all.
You were incredibly dismissive of Stockdale's save(s)
Just because the 'perfect' penalty can't be saved, that doesn't me anything other than perfection that is missed is the fault of the taker.
Stockdale did everything right esp his solid hand/wrist/arm to deny a...
I wouldn't expect anything less from one of the greatest keepers in the modern era.
PS has earned the right to be modest, and lets face it he's no Zlatan is he?
As Tarpon and others have said, the key to the save was DS' strong hand.
The ball was hit hard enough, it was no Harley 'effort'.
Getting a hand to the ball was only half the job, DS still needed to keep the ball out.
It's an amazing testament to versatility of NSC that Brighton fans have to...
Having just watched it again.
From a technique perspective the 'push out' was bad but it typifies the defence DS is playing behind.
There were 3 flat footed statues wearing Albion kit between DS and the Brum player.
Nobody moved or even looked like moving until long after the shot sailed over.
As per the start of the 'Cardiff team' thread.
Having waited 4 seasons for proper delivery from dead balls why kick Holla out at the first available opportunity?
All the more reason not to if he's acting as Ince's 'safety blanket'.
Would that be the TK playing behind, Upson, Greer/Dunk, Bruno and Ward.
Playing for a manager who refused to attack, building the side up from a resolute defence.
You've got to wonder how TK would have faired if the closest he got to his full backs was when they were walking out of the tunnel.
But of all those players mentioned Walton is the only 'keeper.
He did well to earn the back up jersey, when the club cautiously drafted in El-Habsi. (sp)
I'm not arguing your point, I'd (we all) like to see the progression through the ranks, just now isn't the time for a potential startled...
Isn't Walton one of Plymouth's own?
What's the point of throwing 'a kid' to the wolves that is playing behind Greer and Dunk at the moment.
Sort that out first, and if CH still wants to change at least Walton will have a fighting chance.
He's a young goalkeeper not Paul Daniels.
But that just isn't the case.
He's been steadily improving, albeit from a pretty low benchmark, all season.
The TEAM lost on Saturday.
The team should have had the game won, within the first half hour.
The team should have defended better for Forest's only 3 attacks.
Stockdale should have done...
The legend that is Adam Virgo certainly likes to stick the boot in, and point out how he would do 'it' better, before quickly saying 'oh I don't mean I could do it better'
Naturally he's still very much in the plus column as a pundit, but there's more than a touch of NSC about him, and perhaps...
