Today's Argus - Orlandi may be back for Saturday

All true, but with the exception of the 'holding' position passing has to outweigh heading. Naturally our players should be pretty decent at both. If SD's delivery was consistently at his highest level he wouldn't be playing for us. He still offers 'the pass', which just isn't coming from...

Today's Argus - Orlandi may be back for Saturday

Absolutely this. I wasn't advocating SD stays because he and Orlandi play well together. If Dave hadn't already gone off the boil by the play-offs it was certainly on the cards. Oscar seems to be very keen on quick attacking accurate passing football, which SD is more than capable of and...

Today's Argus - Orlandi may be back for Saturday

But as said SD and Orlandi seem to be able to get the best out of each other.

What does Barnes do better than Lopez, esp in midfield?

Today's Argus - Orlandi may be back for Saturday

In fairness we only have 3 'undroppable' players. Tommy K Ward & Ulloa. With Greer and Upson unlikely to be dropped. We are now on our second 'midfield-centric' (neither have been touched by the hand of Pulis) managers. The midfield is the clear battle ground and although both managers have...

So how do you explain better players missing easier, proper open goal, chances.

    Not forgetting his nose bleed.

A quality piece of play finished with a good twonk. What's 4 yards between friends.

I thought Crofts tried his hardest to miss it, tad close to the keeper for my liking. Re to shoot or to pass, someone has already alluded to this:- In The Gus Years, there wouldn't have been a marauding midfielder, busting a gut to get on the end of a 6 yard 'tap-in'. Even when Crofts was...

Hopefully there's enough room on the server to cover all the double standards as well.

One day my opinions will be as important as yours when discussing a specific point. In the meantime though I'll keep trying.

That's olden days talk. You pick the side to do the job, against the opposition. There's no point having 2 or 3 players for the same position if you're never going to play them. At home to Millwall is a completely different job to away at QPR. But GW already knew that.

Today's Argus - Orlandi may be back for Saturday

It's a tough call. I think we need Andrews for Reading and QPR. Ince needs to play esp at home against a team who haven't started yet. But Andrews should have some game time before Sept. Who'd be a manager.

Back for Reading, assuming there's no complications, and he's still with the club.

Bruno's not getting back in, neither is Andrews. I guess Orlandi for SD, which doesn't seem right either. Unless we go for something crrrraaaazzzzzzzyyyy. We've been precariously thin up front, all season. Get Saturday out of the way, and then have 2 weeks to take stock. We'll know who will be...
