Any recommendations in Brighton for Saturday? Going shopping late on with the missus and we want to turn it into an early dinner & some drinks. Nothing too fancy, just a decent meal.
Yes! I was sceptical when it opened that it could work, but it certainly has. Even Fosters drinkers I know haven't minded tucking in to a Brooklyn Lager or similar. I think there are so many horrible Wetherspoons-esque pubs that people don't mind paying that bit extra for nice beer & good clientele.
The Wandering Goose have been inviting local street stalls and similar to host a day in their kitchen. Today was Salsa Viva, a local pop up street stall in Worthing.
Had an excellent Pork Burrito from them. Absolutely juicy succulent pork, well spiced, and really identifiable flavours in there...
I went to 64 Degrees in the end.

Went to Wabi in Horsham today, presently surprised. Great Japanese food, some good lunch offers. We were well fed, and including a beer for me, game to £42 for 2 of us. I am convinced something was missed off the bill, but couldn't work it out.
Recommended, 8/10

We went for a couple of drinks at the bar first, rather than go straight to the table, but when being seated we were reminded bookings are only for 2 hours, so we only had...
Andalucia in Worthing. Absolutely my fave Tapas place in Sussex. Menu slightly smaller than a lot of place, but absolute excellence. Service is typical Spanish style, and can be patchy, but suffice to say stuffed our faces, and all washed down with a lovely Rioja. Consistently full on Fridays +...
