Away at Peterborough tonight in their play-off game. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I fully expect Wednesday to steamroller their way past such a tiny club. I'm sure we all do.
This is correct. Wednesday will smash that record. Which is of course, highly amusing.
They'd have got away with losses to Barnsley (acceptable), FGR and Burton (not so much) had Ipswich not won 12 of their last 13 games and Plymouth equally not letting up.
They've been unlucky. But then...
Yes. For giggles, let's recap. Last month, they'd just beaten Portsmouth away which in itself is excellent news obviously:
Just look at this table. FIVE points clear of third, TWO games in hand and just TWELVE to play. No team bottles that position of strength. Ever.
Sheffield...
What a season to be a Sheffield United fan. They're going up, and have a Wembley FA Cup semi, Wednesday have f***ed up promotion, and it looks like Leeds and Forest could both go down.
Proper Carlsberg season for them I reckon.
Anyway, back to chuckling at Sheffield Wednesday. So funny that...
I'd settle for Barnsley just pipping Ipswich on the last day, with Plymouth champions.
Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday though. It's all just lovely. Here's hoping they both f*** it up next season too.
Just five games ago they were absolutely nailed on. But Ipswich kept winning and Plymouth haven't blown up despite threatening to do so. They've taken 3 points in 5 games including a loss at Barnsley and little old Forest Green. π€£π€£π€£
Wait, make that 4 points in 6 games. Rib-tickling stuff.
I have to say I was getting worried at half time with Plymouth losing, and Sheff Wed and Pompey winning, but it's worked out absolutely splendidly hasn't it?
