Whilst I agree, I find it a bit galling hearing UKIP's one MP moan about it on his victory speech. He was a Tory candidate for years and didn't complain once, did he?
My guess is that of the swathe of undecided voters on election day, a large number of them default to the Conservatives. The left will tell us this is because of the right wing press, but I'm not entirely convinced personally. I think it's a "better the devil you know" mindset that takes over.
Labour simply learn to deal with a right wing press and the fact that middle England doesn't want socialism. They have arrogantly ignored both in appointing Milliband and Balls to run the campaign. Regardless of how competent these two might be, they are not electable in the eyes of the...
What was that story in Eastleigh?
I used to sit next to the LibDem MP there at work many years ago, He's a local, very decent, principled bloke who is in touch with his electorate so I pray he doesn't pay the price for Clegg's VI form goonery and sheer incompetence.
Off to bed.
And cheerio to a fairer society, but also hopefully to Nick Clegg, Ed Milliband and a hasty retreat to the back benches for Ed Balls as the electorate don't like him.
This Labour bloke in Stoke sounds like an absolute nob. Incredible levels of bullshit on display.
I'm centre-left, but I'd say Milliband would have to go IMO. But lets not forget, the main losers here are your (and my) Liberal Democrats. They have been annihalated. Clegg needs to walk tomorrow. He's done an absolutely shit job. :shit:
Lots of chickens being counted before eggs have hatched on this thread.
When are the first results expected from some of the marginal seats? Anyone know?
