The ever excellent Fourth and Church last night. Good to see they were really busy. Menu has changed a bit with more eastern flavours appearing - chicken thighs with kimchi, aubergine/miso - these were great but I prefer the Spanish/ North African stuff. The duck beignets with piquillo ketchup...

Booked Salt Room for Monday lunch - posh fish and chips with mushy peas (:sick:) carafe of wine and desserts -£20 so it’d better be significantly better than Sky High’s cod and chips and a pineapple fritter.

So where is everyone going for their first restaurant visit (in England) after July 4th? I’m thinking Fourth and Church.

Yay! Sky High fish and chips on Portland Road has reopened. Still the best.

No - it was on the menu. It was lunch time though - it may be a different menu in the evening?

Back to the excellent Fourth and Church for lunch over the weekend. They’ve removed the deli counter and now got a stylish and nicely lit bar seating area, so the set up is much more restaurant plus wine shop although you can still buy cheeses. Had the charcuterie platter, salmon gravadlax...
