To be fair (to all of Europe :lolol:) my problems largely stem from the incompetence of people who write engineering standards, rather than the decimal point itself.

Out of interest, do you (or anybody else you've ever met) find it even vaguely confusing to use a , as a decimal point? It drives me up the wall when I'm reading Eurocodes and they list options for different equations, which end up reading "1,4+2p,2,5+p,1+p" and I have to spend about 20minutes...
