While that junction is one of the worse that I've seen, we could have similar conversations about countless stretches of road all over the country.
It's both inevitable with thousands of individual drivers in control of metal boxes traveling at 70mph, and a result of much of our road network...
Yes I know, I was responding to the point about lane closures. If they were well signposted, everybody would use all the lanes and nobody would push in at the end. But they hardly ever put those signs out.
People pushing in at that junction are clearly just dangerous, selfish twats.
I'm talking about something slightly different to you, but I'm pretty sure the most efficient way of getting traffic through a lane closure is to use all lanes for as long as possible, and then to "zip in" at the end.
Occasionally the roadworks will have signs instructing this, but people still...
