Think we're safe now, that's some achievement considering how bad it looked at Christmas. We probably need 2 or 3 top players in, but the core of the team is fine, certainly good enough, to progress next season.

That was an enjoyable read, the usual pearls of wisdom from the usual suspects ! Pardew's done very well, the players are certainly buying into his thinking, and it seems a good fit. Two weeks off now, then facing the champions under the floodlights at San Selhurst,things don't get much better...

Yep, managers leaving normally get a great send off , cough "bin the Finn" cough :) Of course it's a risk, but what do you do ? Go for a untried, younger manager, or someone with the experience needed ? Only time will tell .

It's a different pressure then Newcastle. It's about survival this season, nothing more, nothing less. Pulis is in talks with WBA, can't see him working with their chairman and DOF, but he wants a job. Edit- that £2.5 mill a year contains a £1 mill survival bonus, the same as Pulis was getting.

It's up to £4 mill now is it ?
