Harty's Phone in - Man in Pub.

Yeah, it's always puzzled me when people say that. I certainly don't remember an atmosphere on that freezing November night when we lost 3-0 at home to Barnet in front of an all-time low crowd 1,025 (interestingly enough, Man United were on telly that night). Remember thinking it was one of the...

Harty's Phone in - Man in Pub.

For goodness sake, Lammy. The bloke didn't call up SCR to proudly announce that he'd gone to watch Chelsea, he was making the point that the BHA experience was a bit crap at the moment and he gave it a miss on that occasion. He certainly wasn't proud of the fact, and what he was getting at was...

Harty's Phone in - Man in Pub.

Congrats on the big 500! I think he mentioned the Chelsea game in exactly the same way as he might of said "I went round my mate's house" or "I went to the cinema/shopping". The fact he watched another game in the pub is what seems to winding most people up. Regarding your "if everyone...

Harty's Phone in - Man in Pub.

I think the fact that he sat and watched the Chelsea game is neither here nor there. He didn't miss the Albion game to watch Chelsea, he missed the Albion game because he's fed up of the Albion at the moment. Forget the Chelsea connection, there isn't one.

Harty's Phone in - Man in Pub.

I heard the phone-in and repeat that I agreed with most of what the bloke said. I'm also pretty certain that he said it was the first game (home at least) that he'd missed voluntarily in 37 years. Sure Harty will confirm this either way. Why did he phone in? To make the point that he was fed up...

Harty's Phone in - Man in Pub.

Will you listen to yourselves? He missed ONE GAME. If what he said was true and that was the first game he voluntarily missed in 37 years then I say give him a break. Jesus, it's not like he's turned his back on the club for good, not even this season. And at least he gave his ticket away so it...

Harty's Phone in - Man in Pub.

I think you're exagerrating what he said and to be honest I agreed with a lot of it. He wasn't saying he'd rather watch Chelsea than Brighton, he was saying that he was generally fed up with things at the moment, merely echoing the sentiments of many fans at the moment, including 'stuck on'...
