I've got us to lose at Boro but beat Derby. Unless they lose the next 1 or 2 then hopefully Boro will be promoted by the time we play them which may give us a slight edge. As for Derby I'm hoping they might be conserving and doing whatever they need to avoid injuries in advance of the play...

As I said in another thread it's not winning any of those next 4 games that's bothering it's more that it will mean 6 on the spin, when was the last time we did that? Assuming Boro are gone, and I think they are, it's the Brum v Burnley result that looks iffy, hopefully they can rally one more time

I have very similar and like you I've got a draw at Forest. But after last night I should be more optimistic. Forest are piss poor and apart from Bolton have the worst form in the league, we should beat them. If we do then I've got a scenario where the Boro result becomes irrelevant where autos...

Even if the win all 6 they can only get to 86 points which won't be anything like enough. 89 will be the minimum I imagine, or 90 in our case

I think that's where the money is right now. Minimum of 13 needed from next 5

I'd go along with Boro on 88 but 90 for Burnley if they beat us? That's only 12 from their last 7 games, 5 of which look like 'bankers' given their form. The 2 dodgys; Brum (a) and Boro (h) still look to be a minimum of another 2 Burnley are massive favourites for promotion for good reason but...

Can't be disappointed then! Believe me I want to change one of the next three 1's to a 3 but I like the thought of winning the hard way :)

There's a ton of positive variables now. Beating Burnley, picking up more than 3 points from the next 3 games or 1 more slip up by Hull and Boro. Feels like we have got a bit of insurance to play with

Reckon you're right on all counts. It would be so easy to change one of those 1's or 0's to 3's but it would spoil the excitement :) I do think we've got a bit more insurance though, 3 draws and a loss vs Boro 2 draws 2 losses and Hull 3 draws ... it might be those games that are the pivotal ones?

On this thread http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?334395-How-many-points-will-we-end-the-season-with So all fairly random, but as I said I find it interesting to see what could happen, needs to happen Predicting outcomes of games is nothing new, look at the pundits every pre match...

You're right about the success rate ... see mine above it's little better than 50% but it is (loosely) swings and roundabouts and it kind of evens itself out to some extent. These things are always going to be dynamic so will change on the fly. I have fun with it and it's more a 'what if'...

We're nearly in agreement! Now have us needing a win on last day for 2nd .... just can't get myself changing that zero to a 3 just now and hoping I don't need to :)

I'm with you on the 90 points. Crazily tight and impossible to call now. Have the top 4 separated by 2 points going into last day (88-87-87-86)
