He got some bat on that one too  He certainly seems to be running in properly. Its not easy to tell with this angle but I'd guess he's bowling mid to late 80s comfortably. (I'd rather he wasn't standing at 2nd slip though!)

To be fair to people here. The cricket threads have always been followed by real cricket enthusiasts who know a lot about the game, like to discuss the game in depth and always keep the discussion very civil. If someone comes in with a completely I'll informed view, refuses to accept when they...

It's test cricket. Always going to get partnerships. They are currently -26 for 2, keep plugging away England

You can't use them anymore in international cricket. Been like that for a few years now I think

We need a partnership now. 40/50 without loss will put us firmly back on top.

Yesterday was a little disappointing, granted, but today I have woken up with much optimism. We lost the toss, it looks a decent batting wicket with good carry, we lost our main bowler but still kept them to less than 300 and didn't lose a wicket last night. If we can bat for the whole day...

I thought something might be up with Anderson as he went straight of the field after a relatively short opening spell. Worrying times for England. Broad and co need to really step up now!

This is test match cricket. Yes we probably should have given Anderson another spell but 83/3 is fantastic on what looks like a pretty decent wicket. Keep positive everyone!

1st session of the 1st day of a test match with a ball that is 20 over old. What you expect him to do, turn it square and rip through them?

I agree with you! I think his face didn't fit as he was in his prime during the sea change from traditional test cricket players to more attacking players (with the introduction of T20 and Warner being a prime example). I feel we've gone too far now and as hans kraay fan club states 60-0 is...

I did say 'similar to Wells'(I grew up playing with Wells so I'd love to see him push on, the last few years have been difficult for him) James Hildreth is exactly the type of person I mean. He scores runs all around the country on the CC circuit and knows how to build a proper...

I'm not that up with my County Championship knowledge but having read this from ESPN: Nick Browne, a tall, watchful left-hander with the ability to grow into an innings He seems like the perfect choice!
