Good lord. Just goes to show the "interest" in the flag outside of NSC at the time, excepting the Charlton game obviously!
Unallocated "Bucket" from Darlington match £8.60 rounded to £10
Unallocated "Bucket" from Macclesfield match £4.43 rounded to £5
Unallocated "Bucket" from Chesterfield...
Last time The Eternal Optimist and Keep The Faith fanzine lent us their bank account so people could pay in donations.
Goodness, look what I just found :)

I'm just browsing round various flag sites and just found this
Giant Flag Fact Sheet
Width: 50 ft.
Length: 76 ft.
Weight: 125 lbs. when folded in the carrying bag, approx. 3800 lbs. when unfolded and spread out (aerodynamics).
Persons required to hold the flag: 40 to 60 persons...
I'm tempted to look into this seriously and get some designs in etc...but I remember we raised loads of money through buckets outside the ground and there are only 3 home games left...
I still think it's a bit early to arrange another giant flag but suppose we went up, it would be nice to have one in the Championship (tempting fate, tempting fate), failing that have it made so it's ready for the first game at Falmer.
However, if there's enough interest then who knows...
Last year Uncle S tried to arrange a new REMF giant flag but it all went a bit pear shaped.

People had promised up to £600 or so but there didn't seem to be much enthusiam or interest afterwards and the idea quietly died.
However in...
We had just enough money to get it made and fireproofed. I didn't get any quotes for getting it insured as there wasn't enough money in the kitty and the chances of losing a 2000 square foot flag seemed remote.
No it's gone. I'm not going to do anything about arranging a new flag for another year or so, would be nice to have it at the Falmer first game. Before then I don't think there's enough interest.
Looks like someone went to Withdean and removed it. When it's in the box it takes 2 or more people to move it.
If we really can't find it then maybe the Argus might like to do a little piece on it. Might also raise awareness for the REMF game as well as being a light hearted story featuring...
Wasn't that the time I was lumbered with it and had to get it on the Supporters Coach after the game?
Didn't someone leave it at the Millennium Stadium after the final and it was found later? Maybe the bus company has it?
