Burnley were very poor last night.
And Newcastle although scoring 2 were not much better.
The crowd knew it too, St James's Park was like a primary school playground in the school holidays.
Quite right.
A while back our play in the final third was woeful.
We seem to have sorted that but now can't finish the chances from 2 yards out or the keeper pulls off a series of world class saves.
Nothing wrong with taking positives.
But what twists my balls is when managers say we created plenty of chances and on another day would have put a couple away.
Not good enough, if you create good chances you must put some of them away.
We have been quite unlucky recently and goalkeepers have played out of their skin, but luck had nothing to do with it tonight, we missed too many good chances, you have to take them.
As I said earlier, we should be putting away at least 2 of the missed chances.
If you have a poor spell and miss chances you usually pay the price, like we have tonight, again.
We need a consistent goal grabbing striker who converts most of his chances, if you want to at least be a mid table...
Although 2 up the Newcastle v Burnley game is awful.
Benitez is jumping around in the technical area like a baby after every decision that goes against Newcastle.
For the form both are in, they are both really poor.
